How was Project Lightwell® started?

Project Lightwell® was started by Kelly Carlson, who discovered the power of an unalterable word in the midst of dark circumstances. She longed for her own daughters to have a friend to hold tightly in the midst of difficulty – but one that spoke a loud truth over their hearts. So she started sketching rabbits…

Are the rabbits actually handmade and fair-trade?

Yes! Bears for Humanity is the producer of the rabbits Kelly designed. You can read about the process, materials, and fair-trade employment here : https://www.bearsforhumanity.com/pages/faq

Can I wash the rabbit?
Spot clean only. If your rabbit has been extra loved by a little or a classroom, consider purchasing a backup or please reach out to Kelly.
What if I cannot afford the rabbit?

Fundraise Your Way is a great place to start! If this is still not feasible, we have a limited amount of rabbit scholarships given each year. You may apply here.

Can I return the rabbit?

Rabbits are non-returnable. If you’ve any problem at all, email Kelly@projectlightwell.org
